Every year, we reach millions of students through Nutrients for Life curriculum and classroom resources that highlight the importance of plant nutrients. Why? Because healthy soil means healthy plants, and healthy plants mean a healthy, well-fed future. Fertilizers are essential– and students need to understand why.
The Fertilizer Fun Box is one way we make this happen. By sponsoring a box, you put engaging, hands-on soil science activities directly into classrooms, helping teachers inspire the next generation of voters, consumers, and agricultural leaders.
Why October?
Fertilizer Fun Boxes will be distributed in October to coincide with Global Fertilizer Day. This timing not only highlights our industry’s global impact but also gives teachers resources early in the school year—plenty of time to integrate them into lesson plans. Boxes can be shipped directly to schools or personally delivered, giving you the chance to connect with your local community. We’ll even provide a ready-to-use presentation for a meaningful school visit.
What’s Inside?
Each Fertilizer Fun Box is designed for 7th–12th grade classrooms and contains:
- Nutrients for Life educational resources
- STEM-based lab materials
- Hands-on activities focused on soil health
- Lessons that connect fertilizers to growing enough food for a growing population
Sponsorship Details
- Cost: $600 per box for TFI members (log in for member rate) | $1,000 for non-members
- Tax Deductibility: Fully tax-deductible
- Deadline: Sponsor by September 19 to ensure delivery for Global Fertilizer Day
- Quantity: Sponsor as many boxes as you wish— bulk order discounts available
- Distribution: Choose specific schools or let us pair your sponsorship with a school new to our program
